Ocean City, MD – Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore (BBBSES) is excited to announce the results of their annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser hosted on Sunday, March 19th at Ocean Lanes Bowling Center in Ocean City. The Ocean Lanes Bowling Center has generously partnered with the charity for this very special tournament year after year. Presenting sponsors of the event included Chesapeake Employers’ Insurance Company and Ocean City Elks. Additional sponsorships included Shore United Bank, Hertrich Toyota of Pocomoke, Dark Knight Landscaping, the Holloway Family and Pizza Tugos.
Brandon Smith, owner of Dark Night Landscaping, said he has “attended Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake for over 20 years and proudly collects the signature t-shirt every year.” This fun, annual event directly supports BBBSES youth mentoring, enrichment, and resources for children and families on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Bowl for Kids’ Sake celebrated children and families served in the local community with a St Patrick’s Day themed bowling party for over 55 participants.
Prizes were awarded for highest scores and random strikes. Chandra Harris had the winning score and was awarded a 2-hour kayak adventure at Ayres Adventures. Andrea Dolle came in second and won a gift card for Seacrets in Ocean City.
BBBSES invites all to participate in its next big fundraiser, The Sterling Tavern’s Charity Bingo Night, being held on Wednesday, May 3rd from 6:00-9:00 PM in Berlin, MD. The agency has been chosen as the beneficiary charity of the night. Bingo cards are $2.00 a piece, with NO LIMIT on cards. There will be 5 great prizes for the night.
