Business Affairs Network Looking for Help!

The text below was presented at the November General Membership Luncheon by Steve Smith, Chair of the Business Affairs Network.

Good afternoon:

I am the chairperson of the Business Affairs Network, previously, the Business Affairs Committee. Our primary objective is to identify issues and concerns of our members and to likewise identify solutions with a focus on the members of the Chamber who can provide these solutions.

Our network, in collaboration with the Elder Care Network has identified a project that we think will be especially meaningful to the Networks, the Chamber and its members, vendors and the community at large. The project is the identification of issues and concerns facing the senior and elder community and the folks who can provide solutions. This would include those we traditionally think about such as assisted living, nursing home and home care and insurance vendors. It would also include those you would not think about such as health care advocates, help with prescription medications, ramp builders, technology help, etc.

This will be a comprehensive project, involving the churches, the health care community, MAC and vendors. While still in its infancy, we see a SENIOR EXPO and the development of a central repository on information regarding services and solutions.

Our major problem at this time is manpower and so I am here today to share our project and to ask for interested parties to join us at our next meeting on Wednesday, December 17 at 8:30am.  You can contact the Chamber at 410-749-0144 or me at ssmith@pilotfinancial.com
