SALISBURY, MD—From the popularity of rail travel on the Delmarva Peninsula to local festivals and celebrations, photographers have been on hand to capture local history since the latter half of the 19th century.
Salisbury University’s Edward H. Nabb Research Center for Delmarva History and Culture spotlights unique people, places and events saved on film during the exhibit “Captured in Time: Glimpses of the Eastern Shore Through the Camera Lens.”
Open through Friday, July 26, in the First-Floor Lobby of SU’s Patricia R. Guerrieri Academic Commons, the display also highlights photography equipment and how it has evolved over time. A reception is 6-7 p.m. Thursday, February 21.
Sponsored by the Nabb Center, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6312 or visit the Nabb Center website at www.salisbury.edu/nabb.
