Salisbury, MD – Comprehensive Financial Solutions (CFS, Inc.) addresses the top three questions

Backed by a team of 10 experienced advisors—including multiple CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERS™, a

monthly, and with increased frequency during times of heightened market volatility, to ensure clients receive
timely insights and informed guidance.

1. “Should we be making changes to my investments?”
Market fluctuations are a natural part of investing. There will be times when your portfolio
experiences declines, that’s expected. What’s important is to give your portfolio the time it
needs to do what it was designed to do: grow over the long term. Periodic corrections like this
are normal, and they’re already factored into the strategy we’ve built. Staying the course is is
essential while pursuing the long-term objectives we’ve planned for together. Talk with your
advisor – that’s why we’re here.

2. “I was considering about retiring this year – should I wait?”
In retirement, we like the 3 Bucket Strategy. It helps protect your short-term income needs while
allowing your long-term investments time to recover and grow—even in a volatile market.”

a. Bucket 1 – Short-Term (0–2 years):
This is your safety net.
It’s made up of cash or very stable investments. This bucket is designed to cover
your day-to-day living expenses, so you’re not forced to sell investments in a down
market.

b. Bucket 2 – Mid-Term (3–7 years):
This is your bridge.
These are slightly more conservative investments that offer some growth, but with
less risk. We’ll tap into this bucket as Bucket 1 gets used and needs to be
replenished.

c. Bucket 3 – Long-Term (7+ years):
This is your growth engine.
This bucket is invested for long-term growth. While it will go up and down with the
market, it has time to recover before you’ll need to access it. This helps combat
inflation and keeps your portfolio working for you well into the future.

3. “But, this time feels different.”
A. Yes, this time is different—but so were 9/11, the dot-com bubble, the housing crisis of 2008,
and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. And what happened? We rebounded every time. The markets
are significantly higher today because resilience is built into the system.

4. “What do I do?”
Assuming your investments are aligned with your financial plan, this market move should
change nothing for you. Turn off the TV. It’s beautiful outside, go enjoy.
If you’re interested in having one of our advisors review your investment portfolio and provide a
