Salisbury, MD — Wor-Wic Community College’s Radiologic Technology Class of 2026 presented its Golden Apple Award to Chad Sutton, RT(R)(ARRT), a radiologic technologist at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Wor-Wic’s Radiologic Technology students present the Golden Apple Award annually to a TidalHealth staff technologist who was highly influential to their growth and development throughout their clinical time at TidalHealth’s Salisbury hospital. The surprise presentation was Friday, April 3, and one of the students read a letter from the class.

Below is an excerpt from the letter:

“There are not enough words to fully express how much Chad has meant to each of us. From the very beginning, he welcomed us with kindness, patience and genuine respect. He didn’t just teach us how to be better technologists. He took the time to know us, support us, and believe in us, even on the days we struggled to believe in ourselves.

His feedback was always thoughtful and encouraging, pushing us to grow while reminding us of how far we had already come. He created an environment where we felt comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning from them without fear. That kind of support made all the difference.”

The students’ letter shared how he had made an impact on them, but they had an impact on him, too.

“It is truly an honor to be selected for this award; I can’t thank these students enough,” Sutton said. “They’ve been a joy to work with the past two years, and I know they will accomplish great things.”
