As a special way to welcome new teachers to Wicomico County, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Pohanka Automotive Group of Salisbury provided welcome tote bags to each new teacher in Wicomico County along with those employed by member private schools.
A very special thank you to Pohanka for generously donating these fabulous tote bags each year, along with our numerous members that donated items to be included in the bags. Items donated included coupons & gift certificates, information about local businesses & organizations, promotional items, and much more. Also, thank you to all of the volunteers that helped the Chamber in stuffing all of the bags.
Many of these new teachers are new to the area and the Chamber along with Pohanka want them to know how much we appreciate their service to the youth in our community. This is also a way to give them more information about all that Wicomico County has to offer.
New teachers in Wicomico County Public Schools were presented with their welcome tote at the New Teacher Welcome Breakfast at James M. Bennett High School on August 18, 2016. Tote bags were also distributed to Wicomico County private schools that are members of the Chamber.
