Salisbury, MD – Chaney Cares, the private foundation associated with construction materials supplier Chaney Enterprises, donated $15,000 to Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County (HFHWC).Funding from this contribution will be used to help in the construction of two new homes on Christopher Street in Salisbury.
“Chaney Cares has become a key supporter of Habitat’s mission here in Wicomico,” says Christina Williams, Director of Development at HFHWC. “Chaney has supported us in every aspect, including sponsoring our Chefs for Habitat Gala and providing employee involvement in our committees. Chaney has committed fully and deeply to our mission. We have found a perfect partner in creating affordable housing.”
In addition to financial support, Chaney Enterprises donated concrete for Wicomico Habitat’s previous two new builds, helping offset the rising construction cost for the homes.
“At Chaney Cares, we’re passionate about helping families build a strong foundation for the future. Supporting Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County aligns perfectly with our mission to strengthen communities and help people along their path to homeownership. We’re proud to play a small part in creating safe, stable homes where families can truly thrive,” said Madison Sloan, Marketing & Philanthropy Project Manager at Chaney.
Donors who wish to contribute to the two new homes on Christopher Street may do so via wicomicohabitat.org. $200,000 needs to be raised before construction begins. Fundraising is ongoing.
