Salisbury- The City of Salisbury’s Finance Office is pleased to announce that it is now accepting phone payments via Interactive Voice Response (IVR) technology. Citizens can make payments by dialing 888-250-1639. The payment line is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for customers’ convenience and available in both English and Spanish.
This new option will allow customers to easily make official payments for utility billing, parking permits, taxes, and all other miscellaneous payments owed to the City of Salisbury. There is no convenience fee to pay a water and sewer (utility) bill through the IVR, and there is a small convenience fee, a percentage of the transaction’s amount, to pay all other bills.
If a customer needs to make a payment due to the water cutoff and the funds must be applied immediately (same day) to the account, please contact the City’s utility billing department directly by calling 410-548-3115 or by emailing finance@salisbury.md.
“We are extremely excited to roll out this convenient phone payment option, making it easier than ever for citizens to pay City utilities, parking permits and fees, and other bills,” shared City Administrator Julia Glanz. “Thank you to our finance team for recognizing this project as a priority, and following it through to completion for our citizens.”
In the City’s continuing effort to be equally accessible for non-English speaking residents as English speaking residents, the payment system is also available in Spanish. The City hopes to soon make this service available in Haitian Creole and Korean as well.
The City of Salisbury’s Finance Office will also be opening to the public again effective September 9th at Noon. Hours moving forward will be Mondays from 9:00 am to Noon and Wednesdays from Noon to 3:00 pm. Please note that only one customer will be allowed into the finance lobby at a time, social distancing must be adhered to, and masks are required to be worn at all times.
