City of Salisbury Launches Vaccine Art Contest

Salisbury_4C

The City of Salisbury is pleased to announce a COVID-19 Vaccine Art Contest. The City is looking for artwork created by residents that promote the COVID-19 vaccine and the benefits of getting vaccinated. The goal is to use the art submissions to promote vaccine confidence in our community’s vulnerable populations who may be hesitant to receive the vaccine or lack information about access.

To participate, art submissions must focus on the COVID-19 vaccine and include facts about the vaccine, the benefits of being vaccinated, personal reasons for taking the vaccine or other related content. We are especially interested in gathering submissions that contain languages other than English and/or reflect the cultural diversity within the City of Salisbury.

3 winners will be chosen to receive a scholarship award of $300 for the first place winner, $200 for second place and $200 for third place. Winning submissions will be used on the City’s social media accounts and physical copies will be distributed within the community. Submissions are due by May 28th.

Art can be submitted using the QR code below, which links to a google form submission page. Digital copies or pictures of work, artist name and contact information can also be sent to jcooper8@gulls.salisbury.edu

Information about the COVID-19 vaccine, facts, benefits and more can be found at www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19 and www.covidlink.maryland.gov/content/vaccine/resources/.
