Coastal Hospice Celebrates 45 Years

coastal hospice gala

Salisbury, MD – May 27, 2025 – We welcome our community to join us in celebrating 45 Years at our upcoming 45th Anniversary Gala on Thursday, July 17th at the Fountains Wedding & Conference Center in Salisbury, MD. This momentous occasion commemorates more than four decades of dedicated service on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore.

Our theme, “A Legacy of Care, Built on 45 Years of Experience”, aims to honor our history, highlight our impact, and strengthen connections with the community, staff, volunteers, partners, donors, and supporters in the community. Our care extends beyond our beloved patients, their families, and surrounding communities through grief support, spiritual care, veterans services, music therapy, and many other programs.

The gala promises an unforgettable experience filled with heartfelt tributes and vibrant celebration. Guests will enjoy a lavish buffet dinner, the opportunity to bid on exclusive items during a silent auction, open bar, and live music by the high-energy band, On the Edge. The evening will also include special recognition of individuals and partners who have made and continue to make significant contributions to our organization.

As Coastal Hospice looks to the future, this gala serves as both a reflection of our storied past and a recommitment to our mission. Ann Lovely, Interim President & CEO, reflects, “We’re proud to celebrate 45 years of caring for our community. It’s an honor to support families during some of life’s most meaningful moments — and we are deeply grateful for the trust they place in us every day.”

We have expanded our continuum of care through the years at our inpatient centers, Coastal Hospice at the Lake, and Macky & Pam Stansell House; launching our Coastal Palliative Care clinic in 2024; and as always, providing care to assisted living communities, skilled nursing facilities, or wherever our patients call home.

We are deeply grateful for your support, which empowers us, our state’s largest nonprofit provider of hospice care, to continue our mission by serving the four Lower Eastern Shore counties of Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester. Proceeds from the event will benefit Coastal Hospice’s Charity Care, which ensures that all patients receive care regardless of their financial situation.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available, offering individuals and businesses a chance to provide their support while enjoying a night to remember. Please visit www.coastalhospice.org/45th-anniversary-gala
