Salisbury, MD — Coastal Hospice is proud to announce that it has been named a 2026 Hospice CAHPS Honors Award recipient by MatrixCare, recognizing the organization’s ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care and creating positive experiences for patients, families, and caregivers.
The Hospice CAHPS Honors program recognizes high-performing hospice agencies that consistently demonstrate excellence in the quality of care they provide, as measured through patient and caregiver feedback collected through the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) Survey.
Presented by MatrixCare, the Hospice CAHPS Honors distinction celebrates hospice organizations that achieve outstanding patient and family satisfaction scores while demonstrating a continued commitment to compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care. Award criteria are based on Hospice CAHPS surveys conducted from January through December 2025. Only hospice organizations that partner with MatrixCare for CAHPS survey administration are eligible for consideration.
“This recognition is a reflection of the extraordinary dedication of our staff and volunteers who go above and beyond every day to ensure our patients and families receive the compassionate care, dignity, and support they deserve,” said Ann Lovely, RN, BSN, CHPN, President & CEO of Coastal Hospice. “We are honored to be recognized for the experiences we provide to those we serve, and we remain committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients, their families, and our communities.”
Coastal Hospice’s commitment to compassionate care extends far beyond the bedside. In addition to providing expert hospice and palliative care, the organization offers a wide range of community-based programs and services, including grief counseling and bereavement support, volunteer services, pediatric hospice care, veteran programs, caregiver education, and community outreach and education.
The award reflects the collective efforts of the entire Coastal Hospice team and the organization’s mission to promote dignity, comfort, and quality of life for individuals and families facing life-limiting illness.
We are honored to receive this distinction and remain committed to providing exceptional, compassionate care throughout the communities it serves on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore, including Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico, and Worcester counties.
