Free information session scheduled: 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Wednesday, June 20
SALISBURY – Coastal Hospice has an ongoing and increasing need for volunteers in a wide variety of settings and services. Volunteers play a critical role in supporting the mission of Coastal Hospice – to promote dignity and quality of life for patients and families who face life-limiting conditions.
Volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to, support for: patients and families, the We Honor Veterans Program and the Coastal Hospice Thrift Shop in Berlin. The organization also seeks volunteers for the Macky and Pam Stansell House of Coastal Hospice at the Ocean, a new hospice residence located at The Point in Ocean Pines expected to open in early 2019.
An informational session about the many volunteer opportunities at Coastal Hospice will take place 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20. The training will be held at the Philmore Commons Office Park, Suite 202, 224 Phillip Morris Drive in Salisbury. Coastal Hospice depends on their volunteers to provide the quality care every patient needs and deserves, and will work with volunteers to match their interests to opportunities.
“We can work within your schedule and where you live, and give you the skills you’ll need to be a hospice volunteer,” said Coastal Hospice Volunteer Services Manager Renee’ Smith, who will be leading the training session. “There are many ways you can help.”
