Community Foundation Expands Alfred & Clara May Truitt Scholarship

May 28, 2020 – Salisbury, Md. – The Alfred and Clara May Truitt Scholarship at the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore has recently been expanded. The $1,000 annual scholarship will now be available to students studying law at either the Francis King Carey School of Law at the University of Maryland or the University of Baltimore School of Law.

To be eligible for the scholarship students must be a resident of Somerset, Wicomico or Worcester Counties, Maryland. Students with the greatest financial need and strong ties to the Eastern Shore of Maryland will be given priority consideration. Scholarship recipients may reapply for multiple years subject to satisfactory academic performance. The scholarship award is $1,000 and the application deadline is June 30.
