Community Foundation Offers Continuing Education Scholarships for Lower Shore Nonprofits

The Nonprofit Scholarship Program, offered in partnership with Wor-Wic Community College’s Continuing Education and Workforce Development Department, focuses specifically on the needs of nonprofit staff and volunteers. Scholarships provide opportunities to enhance organizational capacity through technical assistance and professional development.
Scholarships are awarded to tax exempt nonprofit organizations located in Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties that benefit health and human services, education, arts and culture, community affairs, environmental conservation and historic preservation.
The Community Foundation has granted over 400 scholarships to local nonprofits over the last ten years. Scholarships covering tuition and fees are currently available for over 15 select courses. All applications should be received by the Foundation at least 14 days prior to the start of classes.
For more information on the nonprofit scholarships, please contact Heather Towers, Program Officer, at 410-742-9911 or visit the Foundation web site at www.cfes.org.
