Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. has welcomed six new employees in all three offices over the past several months. As our offices continue to grow, DBF has added Payton L. Bridge, Barry L. Boltz, Lena A. Williams, and Richard B. Padgette in the Salisbury, Maryland office, as well as Christopher D. Waters, in the Easton, Maryland office, and Eric C. Kells from the Milford, Delaware office.
Payton L. Bridge, a licensed architect in the State of Virginia, has recently relocated back to Salisbury, Maryland, where he was born and raised. Bridge graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, attaining his license in 2019.
Lena A. Williams has recently transitioned from her position as Receptionist in the corporate office to Finance Assistant. Williams has over nine years of experience as a Billing Specialist working in accounts receivable and accounts payable. As the new Finance Assistant, Lena will be responsible for accounts receivable, cash receipts, and outgoing invoices for the firm.
Barry L. Boltz, an experienced inspector with over 15 years of experience providing construction inspection services for the Maryland State Highway Administration and Delaware Department of Transportation, has joined the firm as DBF’s newest Resident Project Representative out of the Salisbury location. Boltz will be responsible for maintaining daily field reports, reviewing and interpreting plans and blueprints, in addition to inspecting and monitoring construction activity on site. He is currently working on a water main project in Milford, Delaware.
Richard B. Padgette, with over 30 years of combined experience in water/wastewater management and manufacturing, will serve as DBF’s newest Contract Administrator and Water/Wastewater Operator. He will serve as the City of Crisfield’s water/wastewater operator, in addition to other municipalities on the Delmarva Peninsula. Padgette is a licensed water and wastewater operator in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.
Joining the Easton survey department is Christopher “Dylan” Waters, as DBF’s newest field technician. Dylan has gained invaluable survey experience over the past several years, working alongside his father and DBF Surveyor and Associate Christopher D. Waters. He will be assisting the survey crew with coordinating and completing surveys and stakeouts for properties throughout the Maryland and Delaware region.
Eric C. Kells, a graduate from Temple University with a Bachelor in Community and Regional Planning, a minor in Environmental Science, and a certificate of environmental sustainability, will be joining as a new civil engineering designer in the Milford, Delaware office. Kells comes with a vast knowledge of city and regional planning, civil, site, environmental and ecological engineering, and landscape architecture.
