DBF Welcomes New Hires to the Team

Davis, Bowen & Friedel, is pleased to announce the addition of several new employees to the Salisbury, Maryland and Milford, Delaware offices.

 

Joining the Milford office is Hannah M. Morris, David E. Green and Kate E. Scanlon. Hannah M. Morris, a recent graduate from West Virginia University with a degree in environmental and energy resources management, and a minor in geographic information systems will be serving as a designer for the municipal department. Morris is currently working on setting up water models with new developments for Selbyville and other municipalities in the area, as well as providing GIS services for Talbot County.

David E. Green, with over 18 years of experience and an associate degree in architectural and engineering CAD drafting and design, will be working in the civil department as a CAD technician. Green is currently involved in projects for the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Mispillion Landing in Milford, Delaware, and Asbury Square in Frederica.

Also joining the Milford office is Kate E. Scanlon. As an administrative assistant, Scanlon is responsible for supporting the daily office operations such as printing and tracking plans for clients a well as updating and organizing files and spreadsheets for the office. Scanlon previously worked at Bebee Healthcare as a phlebotomist. “ I have enjoyed my new atmosphere learning all of the innerworkings of the office and gaining knowledge from the A/E industry from the ground up,” said Scanlon.

In the Salisbury office, DBF welcomes the addition of Nathan A. Johnson and Jonathan P. DeRycke. As a native to the area, Nathan A. Johnson comes with over 20 years of knowledge and experience in troubleshooting electrical and electronic issues. Johnson is currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology & Networking at Wor-Wic Community College and is serving as the I.T. assistant for all three DBF offices. He will be providing additional I.T. support to the offices as they continue to grow and expand their technological capabilities.

Jonathan P. DeRycke is a recent graduate from Salisbury University with a degree in physics with an emphasis in engineering and a minor in mathematics and psychology. DeRycke joins the municipal engineering department, as a designer in the Salisbury office and is currently working on a preliminary engineering report for the Town of Pittsville, water treatment upgrades for the Town of Blades, as well as a park water treatment plant project for the City of Salisbury. He is currently taking the first steps in the process towards his professional engineer’s license.
