In order to improve electric service reliability in Salisbury, Md., Delmarva Power has begun to install new poles, cross arms and wiring along portions of Fitzwater and Lake streets in Salisbury, Md.
Motorists could experience traffic delays between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday through April 10. In addition, traffic will be stopped four times for less than five minutes each time between midnight and 4 a.m. on April 10 near the intersection of Route 50 and Lake Street in order to allow crews to safely install wire on poles in that area. In the event of inclement weather, the wire installation in the Route 50 and Lake Street area will occur at the same time on April 11.
The project is part of the company’s projected investment of approximately $11 million in distribution reliability improvements in Salisbury this year.
“This project is one in a series of system upgrades we are making to maintain and improve reliability for our customers,” said John Allen, Delmarva Power region vice president.
