#ThisIsDiabetes. It is the theme for the American Diabetes Association 2016 Diabetes Awareness Month campaign. The campaign invites people to submit their real-life stories of managing the day-to-day triumphs and challenges of the disease.
“I hear these stories every day,” said John Motsko, Apple certified diabetes educator, “It is my mission to educate people on how to better manage or prevent the disease and connect them with community resources and support to sustain a better quality of life.”
During November, Diabetes Awareness Month, Motsko is taking his message on the road. He will be presenting “Empowerment & Prevention; Understanding Diabetes” at the Ocean Pines Community Center on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 10:00am. The Ocean Pines Community Center is located at 235 Ocean Parkway, Ocean Pines, MD.
