
Nearly two dozen members of the Rotary Club of Salisbury and the Salisbury Sunrise Rotary Club participated in the annual preparation and distribution of dictionaries to third grade Wicomico County students. Both clubs also contributed money to buy the books. In less than one half hour, labels were inserted into the 1,500 books that later were distributed to the students.
Yes, books remain valuable for students in this age of nearly everything being done on a computer or telephone. Since 1998, this project has distributed more than 50,000 dictionaries to local students.
