While the practice enjoyed a soft opening earlier this year, the organization is excited to officially celebrate with local stakeholders, community members, clients, and supporters on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Dogwood Family Counseling is honored to join the Eastern Shore’s community of professional mental health providers by offering accessible and compassionate behavioral healthcare services throughout the region. The practice provides a wide range of mental health supports, specializing in individual therapy, family counseling, reunification therapy, supervised visitation, and grief support services.
Mr. James Bello, Owner of Dogwood Family Counseling, is deeply committed to advancing mental health awareness and reducing barriers to care within the community. Together, he and Dr. Cassandra Bello, LCSW-C, believe that healing begins at the roots — through compassion, connection, and personalized care. Their mission is to empower individuals and families to achieve their mental health goals and strengthen overall wellness.
The opening of Dogwood Family Counseling comes at a critical time, as the need for accessible mental health resources continues to grow across the community. The practice utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches provided by licensed professionals in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Dogwood Family Counseling operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with additional hours available every other Saturday morning.
