Salisbury, MD — The Dave & Patsy Rommel Center for Entrepreneurship at Salisbury University, in partnership with the City of Salisbury and D3, a local full-service digital marketing agency, announced today the launch of the Downtown Salisbury Brand Boost Grant Program.
The initiative is designed to help small businesses strengthen their brand identity, improve visibility, and enhance their marketing presence. Applications open Feb. 1 and close Feb. 28.
One selected downtown business will receive a comprehensive branding and marketing support package valued at more than $4,000. The package includes a $1,000 cash award for customized brand development, a WMDT TV commercial run package with video production, D3 Corp marketing consultation with tailored brand strategy guidance, an online brand performance audit, vinyl graphics and/or logo redesign, a large A-frame sign, and a printed brand package.
“Small businesses are the heart of downtown Salisbury,” said Derek Von Jarmon, economic development manager for the City of Salisbury. “We hear from business owners that while they know strong branding and marketing are essential, the investment can be difficult. The Brand Boost Grant brings local partners together to help support downtown’s continued revitalization through targeted brand support for our businesses.”
Jenni Pastusak, director of public relations at D3, emphasized the importance of consistent branding across all platforms: “Whether it’s a printed sign or a social media post, a strong brand is what helps customers recognize, trust, and connect with a business. Today, brands need to show up consistently everywhere — online, offline, and on mobile — to get noticed, build loyalty, and grow.”
The grant is open to businesses located in downtown Salisbury with engaged owners who seek to improve their branding, signage, and digital presence. Applicants do not need to be affiliated with Salisbury University. Both established businesses and newer ventures with an operating storefront are encouraged to apply.
