Downtown Trolley Comes to Salisbury

city of salisbury

The City of Salisbury, Shore Transit, and Salisbury University are proud to announce a new service available to Salisbury University students and the community!  Starting its loop in front of the Perdue School of Business, the Downtown Trolley will shuttle passengers from the University to the downtown shops and restaurants. The trolley will run Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am and fare will only be $1 for the evening. This exciting project has been partially funded by a $50,000 grant from the Maryland Transit Administration as part of the effort to link Salisbury University students with the businesses in Downtown Salisbury. “As part of the ongoing renaissance of Downtown Salisbury, we are seeking to deepen the connection between our university students and downtown businesses. With the Downtown Trolley, we are literally bringing this audience to local business owner’s doorsteps” says City Council President, Jake Day.

Please join us at 5:30 pm on August 28th in front of the Perdue School of Business for a ribbon cutting and remarks about the Downtown Trolley. After the ceremony, the Downtown Trolley will make its first loop and City officials will be on board to answer any questions from the public or media. Once we arrive back at Salisbury University, the Downtown Trolley will commence its recurring service loop.
