SALISBURY, MD — TidalHealth is pleased to welcome Sarah Assali, DO, to TidalHealth General Surgery in Salisbury, Md.
Dr. Assali earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Greensburg, Pa. She went on to complete her general surgery residency at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Dr. Assali has written several peer-reviewed publications and scholarly blogs. She has held leadership roles throughout her residency, including Curriculum Chief for general surgery and minimally invasive surgery. Her clinical interests include advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgery, with a focus on hernia.
Dr. Assali is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
When Dr. Assali is not treating patients, she enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, gardening, basketball, mixed martial arts and crafting.
