Salisbury, MD — TidalHealth is pleased to welcome Catherine Casto, MD, to TidalHealth OB/GYN in Salisbury, Maryland.
Dr. Casto, an Eastern Shore native from Snow Hill, earned her bachelor’s degree in cell and molecular biology from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and her medical degree from East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Dr. Casto is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has more than 20 years of experience treating women on the Eastern Shore. She is a member of several medical organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Casto has expertise in robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques, complex cases including oncology cases, tumor debulking, complex vaginal surgery, and anti-incontinence procedures. She is committed to providing excellent medical and surgical care to the community and striving to improve the standard of care by collaborating with her medical peers.
Dr. Casto is a core faculty member in TidalHealth’s OB/GYN department and serves as the medical director of OB/GYN services. She has authored multiple clinical publications and has earned several clinical and bench research awards. Her additional honors include being named a “Top Doc” for Wicomico County in 2024 and being voted “Best OB/GYN on the Eastern Shore” multiple times.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Casto enjoys spending time with her family. They stay busy managing Castle Farm in Snow Hill, a popular wedding venue and Andalusian horse‑breeding farm that has been in her family since the 1600s. A significant part of running the farm includes equine and bovine reproduction, embryo transfer and a surrogacy program overseen by her oldest son. Dr. Casto also breeds, trains and competes with her mare in dressage.
