The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC) welcomed members and guests to its October Business After Hours on October 8, co-hosted by the Dental Practice of Dr. Maria E. Cruz.
Attendees were warmly welcomed by Dr. Cruz and her entire staff and enjoyed an evening of networking, relationship-building, and learning more about the services and advanced technology offered by the practice. Dr. Cruz received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Georgetown University, School of Dentistry and after practicing in her native San Juan, Puerto Rico and Northern Virginia, Dr. Cruz relocated to the Salisbury, MD in October 2020. Her and her staff’s primary mission is their commitment to patient care, new technology, and community involvement. Guests had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art office and view demonstrations of the practice’s Intraoral Dental Scanner, and other intraoral imaging technology, which provide patients with enhanced comfort, precision, and treatment planning capabilities.
During the event, Dr. Cruz expressed appreciation for the Chamber’s work, stating, “We are honored to support the mission of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and grateful to have so many people join us today. I am also thrilled to introduce Dr. Jacob T. Meyer as the newest member of our team. His addition expands our capacity and enables us to provide more timely care to our patients.”
Delicious catering was provided by Chamber member The Deli at Pecan Square, while adult beverages were available for guests throughout the event. In keeping with the evening’s dental theme, attendees were excited to participate in door prize drawings featuring an Electric Toothbrush, Electric Waterpik/Flosser, and a Professional Whitening Treatment.
Guests also had the opportunity to support the SACC-Wor-Wic Scholarship Fund by purchasing raffle tickets. The lucky winner, Corey Boerner received a 1-night stay to the Hilton Garden Inn Ocean City Oceanfront and a $50 gift card to JoJo’s Family Restaurant.
