SALISBURY, MD — TidalHealth is pleased to announce that Samantha Scott, PhD, clinical psychologist, has been named Director of TidalHealth’s Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Program.
Dr. Scott received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her master’s degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Central Florida.
She completed a health-focused internship through West Virginia University’s School of Medicine, where she honed her assessment and therapeutic skills in a rural healthcare setting. Most recently, she earned a postdoctoral master’s degree in psychopharmacology from Farleigh Dickinson University.
Dr. Scott is a member of the Greater Salisbury Committee, Women’s Leadership Steering Committee, Healthy Minds for Shore, Behind the Line, Inc., International Association of Chiefs of Police, Wicomico County Education Foundation, the American Psychological Association, Maryland Psychological Association, and she is president and founder of The Child and Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization with two projects: 1 Year to Empowerment and Crossroads Early Intervention & Training.
She has received numerous awards for her accomplishments and comes with many years of training and clinical experience. She is passionate about teaching and training, promoting the importance of preventative mental health care, and bringing more mental health services to the area. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
