
The May General Membership Luncheon will feature Jonathan Daniels, Executive Director of the Maryland Port Administration.
In his role, Mr. Daniels oversees the six state-owned public marine terminals at the Helen Delich Bentley Port of Baltimore. These terminals support a diverse range of cargo, including automobiles, breakbulk, containers, cruise operations, farm and construction equipment, and forest products. The Port of Baltimore leads the nation in handling automobiles and farm and construction machinery and ranks among the top 15 U.S. container ports. It supports approximately 20,000 direct jobs and contributes to more than 273,000 jobs statewide.
Mr. Daniels will provide insights on the following topics:
- The Port’s ongoing recovery following the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse
- 2025 cargo volumes and performance metrics
- Updates on the Port’s cruise operations

Environmental initiatives, including the restoration of Maryland’s eroding islands through the beneficial use of dredged sediment
