“The Federated Garden Clubs are avid supporters of Habitat for Humanity’s mission to help families realize the dream of home ownership.” said Susie Middleton, Director of District I, FGCMD.  “We received a financial award from FGCMD for work we had done with Habitat in 2014.  We wanted the money to go where it would have the biggest impact so we made the decision to divide it among the five affiliates on the shore, Wicomico, Worcester, Caroline, Choptank and Washington College chapters of Habitat for Humanity.”

“I was familiar with my local Habitat but learned there were many more organizations on the Shore” said Chris Myles-Tochko, “We were impressed with the innovation and impact that the HHWC organization has had with programs such as ‘A Brush with Kindness’ and their effectiveness in partnering with the community.”

“We are so grateful for FGCMD’s support of Wicomico County.” said Molly Hilligoss, Executive Director of the Habitat for Humanity Wicomico County. “This donation will help serve our mission to provide permanent housing solutions to hardworking families in Wicomico.”
