SALISBURY, Md. – Henry S. Parker Athletic Complex’s newest addition, Field 7 ½, played host to the first HPAC Wiffle Ball Classic this past weekend.

Seven teams took the field Saturday and Sunday to compete in the adult wiffle ball tournament. K & K Softball and Baseball Academy went home with the first place trophy Sunday afternoon after a close game against Farmer’s Insurance – Joe Harbinson Agency.

The HPAC Wiffle Ball Classic is the first of many events Wicomico Recreation & Parks hopes to have at the new field. “We saw some great wiffle ball and even better sportsmanship at this year’s event,” said program director Brian Workman. “We’re looking forward to the future opportunities we’ll be able to provide on Field 7 ½, especially for the local Little League Challenger Baseball division.”

Field 7 ½ is designed to provide individuals with physical or mental disabilities the opportunity to play baseball. To learn more about Project 7 ½ visit http://bit.ly/project-seven-and-a-half.
