Free Admission for locals to the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, Salisbury University during the month of August 2018.

The Ward Museum admission is free and open to all local museum visitors during August 2018. Value Carpet One of Salisbury, MD, a Ward Museum Corporate Sponsor, is sponsoring free admissions for local museum guests for the month of August 2018. Local visitors include residents of Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Talbot, Sussex, and Accomack counties.

By sponsoring monthly admission for local museum guests, companies receive public recognition of their support of the Ward Museum’s community and family programs. This opportunity helps businesses attract new customers and bolster the company’s reputation.

Featured in the Ward Museum’s Welcome Gallery is 50 Years of Art, Nature, and Tradition: Ward Foundation Retrospective. The Ward Foundation celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018. Established in 1968 to honor the legacy of Lem and Steve Ward, the foundation has grown to be a leader in the arts and cultural community of Maryland and beyond. This Welcome Gallery exhibit will showcase the history of the foundation, its leaders and its impact on the community and beyond.

On exhibit in the LaMay gallery is Through Artist Eyes: The Eastern Shore Revealed. This exhibit showcases artists from across the eastern shore that explore the area’s natural and working landscapes, rich urban and rural lifeways, and the beauty of the everyday living in this special region.
The museum also hosts the Art In Nature Photo Festival August 10-12. The gallery admission sponsorship allows visitors to view the submitted entries into this competition in the museum. There are tickets available for additional event highlights, including Ansel’s America: An Ansel Adams Special Exhibit with Keynote Lecture on Friday, August 10th at 6 p.m.

The Ward Museum offers opportunities for students of all ages to explore wildfowl in art, heritage, and environmental studies, serving 23,000 participants annually through on-site and off-site programs.
