Salisbury, MD – The City of Salisbury’s Friday Night Live concert series is back for 2024 with a new twist. Half of this year’s shows will be at the Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater, and the other half will be at Downtown Salisbury restaurants, with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Maryland Folk Festival.

The free series kicks off Friday, May 3, and continues on the first and last Fridays of the month through Aug. 30. Most shows run from 6:30-9 p.m., with the June 28 and July 26 shows going until 9:30 p.m. The stage sponsor for the series is US Wind, and the media sponsor is the Draper Media Radio Family: WBOC 102.5, 93.5 The Beach, Coast Country 103.9 and 106.3, The Duck, 100.9% Classic Country and BIG 107.7 Classic Rock.

The shows at the Amphitheater, on the first Friday of the month, will feature food trucks and alcohol for sale. During the series’ shows at restaurants, on the last Friday of the month, a portion of proceeds will benefit the Maryland Folk Festival, which is set for Sept. 20-22 in Downtown Salisbury.

“We’re bringing an eclectic lineup of musicians to Downtown Salisbury, some local and some from the Mid-Atlantic area, for this year’s Friday Night Live series, and there’s something for everyone,” said Chris Ford, events technical specialist for the City of Salisbury. “Plus, you have the opportunity to help support even more live music in Salisbury through these fundraisers for the Maryland Folk Festival.”

The Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater is located in Downtown Salisbury, off Route 13 between East Market Street and Carroll Street. Outdoor shows will be held weather-permitting. To learn more about the event and the participating bands, visit downtownsby.com/friday-night-live.
