Who is the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance and How Can They Help Your Business on the Lower Shore?
Eastern Shore SHRM is excited to announce that speakers Bonnie Nay, Job Placement Coordinator in the Business Services office of the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance (LSWA) and Julie Allen, Business Services Specialist at the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance, a division of the Tri-County Council for the Eastern Shore of Maryland and a Board Member of the Eastern Shore Society for Human Resource Managers, will present “Future Proofing your Workforce – Who is the Lower Shore Workforce Alliance and How Can They Help Your Business on the Lower Shore?” on January 23rd. Registration begins at 8 am. The program begins at 8:30 am and will be held at the Lower Shore American Job Center, 31901 Tri-County Way, Salisbury, MD 21804. There will also be a virtual option for those unable to attend in-person.
In this hour-long presentation, participants will learn how partnering with your local workforce board can assist with the employment needs of your company. Developing certification classes, partnering with local community colleges on workforce education initiatives, and developing recruitment strategies are some of the ways they can work to help your company with finding and training new employees.
