We can hardly wait for the Maryland Teacher of the Year Celebration to begin tonight at 8 p.m. Thanks to the state event once again being virtual, everyone can “attend” to support Wicomico Teacher of the Year Rebecca Mathews (Wicomico High). Mrs. Mathews is one of 24 school system teachers of the year who will be celebrated during the half-hour show on MPT2, and she is one of just seven finalists for the title of Maryland Teacher of the Year. We’re proud of Mrs. Mathews and thankful for the excellent work she does every day for her students and school. She’s an amazing representative of Wicomico’s teachers.
