SALISBURY, MARYLAND – President Dwight Miller of Gillis Gilkerson (GGI) is pleased to announce the firm’s completion of renovations to Gold Coast Liquors, an established beer, wine and liquor store located at 115th Street in Ocean City, Maryland. The retail suite anchors Gold Coast Mall, a longstanding destination for tourist traffic and shoppers, and was formerly home to Peebles department store and Family Dollar.
As it now stands, Gold Coast Liquors features a modernized aesthetic complete with brand new metal stud walls, and acoustical ceilings and finishes. Miller led Gillis Gilkerson’s construction team with onsite management provided by Superintendent Chris Deinlein. Together, the pair worked alongside the property owner, Mike Ramadan, who also played a key role in the design and renovation process.
“Mr. Ramadan had a very specific vision in mind, right down to the types of materials he wanted used,” said Miller. “Our team worked closely with him to ensure that every expectation was met.”
Despite frequent supply chain lags, Gillis Gilkerson delivered the completed +/- 9,000 square foot unit on time and within the allotted budget.
“Gillis Gilkerson did an outstanding job,” said Ramadan. “Even with all of the COVID-related constraints, there was no better company to go with. The store turned out better than I ever expected.”
Ramadan added that he is looking forward to his next project, a Dairy Queen, and plans to again partner with Gillis Gilkerson.
