GMB Announces 2017 Scholarship Winners

George, Miles & Buhr, LLC (GMB) is pleased to announce the winners of our annual scholarship program.

The George K. Miles Civil Engineering Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to students who plan to attend college to pursue a degree in civil engineering. Mr. Miles is a former partner at GMB and was involved in a variety of civil engineering projects throughout the Delmarva Peninsula. His brother, William Miles, was one of the firm’s founders when GMB opened in 1960.

The 2017 recipients of the George K. Miles Civil Engineering Memorial Scholarship are:

• Chika Menzu; graduated from Westminster High School in Westminster, Maryland, and will attend the University of Maryland, College Park. 
• Jason Hentschel; graduated from James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury, Maryland, and will attend Georgia Tech.
• Mimi Sanford; graduated from Saint Peter and Paul High School in Easton, Maryland, and will attend Brown University.
