SALISBURY, MD – September 23, 2022 – Melissa Geeslin, Goosehead Insurance agency owner is pleased to announce the release of Expanding Opportunities, an annual business publication published by the Governor’s Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs and The Daily Record. In its 13th year, the publication features success stories on small business owners who are nominated by colleagues, partners, and peers.
Melissa was nominated by Lisa Twilley, director of Women’s Business Center at Maryland Capital Enterprises Inc.
“Melissa came to mind instantly since she’s an MCE client and a successful small businesswoman entrepreneur that had to pivot quickly to a virtual platform in order to meet her clients’ needs yet deliver the same level of customer service as she would in person,” said Lisa. “Melissa is very driven, determined to meet set goals and does not give up. She has all the qualities of a successful small business owner; she is passionate, knowledgeable, and amazing with people.”

In addition to running her business, Melissa dedicates her time to various community groups including Wicomico Women Who Care, serving on the development committee of Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County, serving as a Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Board Member, and Chair of Ambassador Committee, and an Operation We Care Board Member.
