The number of people age 65 and over living on Maryland’s Eastern Shore is growing at a faster rate than that age group in the state overall. That’s according to U.S. Census Bureau statistics and Maryland Department of Planning Projections.
MAC Inc., the Area Agency on Aging, GrayShore and BEACON at Salisbury University, invite Delmarva leaders to the 2017 GrayShore Summit, a discussion focusing on the needs and issues facing the aging population on the Eastern Shore.
The GrayShore Summit will be held Friday, Sept. 15, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Worcester Room, second floor of the Commons Dining Hall, at Salisbury University.
The keynote speaker will be Rona Kramer, Secretary of the Maryland Department of Aging. The cost is $25, which includes breakfast and lunch.
In addition, a panel will discuss population, oral and behavioral health issues.
