Restoring the club for its members and the community:

Back in December, 2016 a two-alarm kitchen fire badly damaged the facility causing extensive damage to the club’s 5,000 square foot main building. It was estimated the facility suffered $300,000 in damage to the structure and another $200,000 to its contents.
Club staff reviewed designs for the building with hired architect, Keith Fisher of Fisher Architecture. Gillis Gilkerson project manager Don Murray said the structure will be elevated at least six feet to meet code requirements and sit above the flood point.
Commodore Ray reported the club’s pool, bar and docks are still intact and there will be a temporary club house, food truck and open dock bar during reconstruction. Once demolition debris is removed, all scheduled events will take place.
