Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County Hosts Pickleball Tournament to Support Affordable Housing Initiatives

Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County will be hosting the “Kitchens for Kitchens Pickleball Tournament” on Saturday March 23, 2024 at the Crown Sports Center in Fruitland, MD. Pickleball enthusiasts of all skill levels are invited to participate. The tournament will feature separate categories for beginners/first-time players (1.0 – 2.5) and competitive players (3.0 – 3.5), with both categories offering men’s and women’s doubles matches.  Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. on the day of the event. However, participants are encouraged to sign up in advance at www.wicomicohabitat.org to secure their spot. Proceeds from the Pickleball Tournament will directly benefit Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County’s mission to provide affordable homeownership opportunities and critical home repairs/aging in place programs in Wicomico and Somerset Counties. By participating in this event, players will not only enjoy a day of sportsmanship but will also contribute to building stronger, more vibrant communities.
