Holiday Shopping – Giving More Than A Gift

Lower Shore Ent

Holiday shoppers on the Eastern Shore are given an opportunity to do more than purchase a gift…

they are also supporting people with varying abilities in the workplace

Salisbury, MD.  — Lower Shore Enterprises will hold its first annual Holiday Craft & Vendor Fair this November.  All proceeds will benefit employment resources for individuals with varying abilities.

LSE Holiday Craft & Vendor Fair – November 2, 2019  (9am – 2pm) 28475 Owens Branch Rd.  Salisbury, MD 21801

On Saturday, November 2nd, Lower Shore Enterprises (LSE) will open its doors bright and early, offering holiday shoppers an abundance of craft and vendor booths to shop from.  Creative, inspiring, fashionable, unique and trendy options will provide just the right gift for that special someone on your list. Doors open at 9:00am sharp, and attendees will be greeted with a coffee bar and made-to-order breakfast sandwiches.  The event will conclude at 2:00pm, but not before attendees have had a chance to purchase lunch from the grill or soup bar — stay to enjoy or take it to go! And don’t forget to snag a delectable treat from our Bake Sale table! There will be many chances to win fabulous gift donations through our Chinese Auction and Gift Card Christmas Tree Raffle! Admission to the event is $3 per person.

LSE is excited to transition primarily from a sheltered workshop model of employment to an ‘Employment First’ philosophy.  According to the Association of People Supporting Employment First, this means that employment in the general workforce should be the first and preferred option for individuals with disabilities; working in typical work settings, alongside people without disabilities, earning regular wages and benefits, and being a part of the economic mainstream of our society.  In order to meet the needs of this transition, LSE is focused on diversifying its funding sources to allow for increased training, resources and programming. One of the ways we want to do this is to offer a fun, festive event to our supportive community members who generously invest in the economic future of our fine town, and ALL its inhabitants.
