This is the fifth time Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay has received the prestigious recognition. Throughout the year, meeting professionals nominated the meeting sites they believe provide exemplary service for group events. The nominated sites are then compiled into an online ballot where meeting professionals and fans are asked to vote for the best of the best. More than 7,000 voters participated in this year’s award program.

The resort is home to two grand ballrooms that were renovated in 2023, including the 11,259 square-foot Chesapeake Ballroom, and the 4,860 Choptank Ballroom, both of which have spacious pre-function foyers designed to showcase the natural light. The space’s new color palette was updated to modern tones of neutral gray and blue, reflecting a calm and inviting atmosphere that nods to the resort’s tranquil waterfront location. New plush carpeting features wavy patterns with various shades of blue complemented by delicate gold patterns. The walls have been refreshed with gray and light beige coverings, elegant light fixtures, modern wall sconces, and more.
In addition to the recently renovated ballrooms, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay boasts 85,000 square feet of outdoor event space, including the Regatta Pavilion, offering panoramic views of the scenic Choptank River.
