Imagination Library 'Soars' with RPS ISG International Disc Golf Tournament 11.19.14

RPS ISG International recently held their 3rd Annual Disc Golf Tournament raising over $10,000 to benefit United Way’s Imagination Library Program.   28 teams from area companies competed to raise funds for the program, providing free, home-delivered books each month to local children ages birth to five.  Event sponsors included The Hartford, Chubb Insurance, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, PNC Bank, Beazley Group, Kelly & Associates, Travelers Insurance, Berkley Tech Insurance, Liberty Mutual, XL Insurance, CNA Insurance, Hanover Insurance Group, USLI Insurance and One Beacon Technology Insurance.

Dean Goodwin, Marketing Manager of RPS ISG International and event coordinator of the tournament shared, “Most of our teams play every year.  One of the best things about our Annual Disc Golf Tournament is the fact that anyone can play and it’s all for fun and a great cause.  Believe it or not, one of the participants told me that this tournament is his favorite day of the year!”

United Way has distributed 32,500 books to over 1,800 children in Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset and Dorchester Counties.  The proceeds of the tournament will provide over 4,000 books to children on the Eastern Shore.  United Way Executive Director Kathleen Mommé stated, “We are grateful RPS ISG International continues to be a strong supporter and advocate of the Imagination Library Program with this incredibly fun event.  Thanks to their creative support, we can ensure local children have a strong foundation to begin kindergarten.”
