presidential-citizen-scholars-program

The Seidel School of Education at Salisbury University and the Presidential Citizen Scholars program, in partnership with the Wicomico and Somerset County Local Management Boards, the Cities of Salisbury and Crisfield, and other local stakeholders, invite community members to participate in an important survey. This initiative seeks to identify the strengths, assets, and educational resources available in Wicomico and Somerset Counties.

Purpose of the Survey:

The survey focuses on:

  • Access to educational resources beyond formal schooling, such as pre-K programs, tutoring, and adult education.
  • Availability of community resources like books, school supplies, and online training.

Feedback gathered will provide valuable insights into public education, funding priorities, and community needs, influencing decisions that impact schools, nonprofit organizations, and local governments.

Survey Highlights:

  • Open to community members aged 18 and older.
  • It is anonymous and voluntary, taking approximately 3-5 minutes to complete.
  • Available in multiple languages: English, Haitian Creole, Spanish, and Korean (with more translations underway).

Key Dates and Participation:

The survey will remain open until November 22, 2024. Results will inform recommendations shared at the Salisbury University PACE Showcase in April 2025.
