Twenty-nine jail and correctional officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester and Talbot counties graduated in the 118th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy (ESCJA) operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.
Graduation exercises, which were held in Guerrieri Hall on the college campus, featured a commencement address by Joseph Hughes, deputy director of the Talbot County Department of Corrections.
Donald Rollyson Jr., associate director of the ESCJA, and Rob Dell’Erba, ESCJA coordinator, presided at the ceremony. Nykeema Kellam of the Wicomico County Department of Corrections was the class speaker.
In addition to Kellam, graduates included Gregory Elliott, Marc-shae Jones, Jordan Sterling and Bertha Ward of the Wicomico County Department of Corrections; Gabriel Aluma, Kennishia Douglas, Brandon Mason and Felix Paradis of the Worcester County Jail and Detention Center; Michael Mears of the Somerset County Detention Center; Yonas Abraham, Trace Adams, Chance Boyd, Janaya Bradberry, Craig Brown, Barbara Buabeng, Sheila Epright, Keisha Gibbs, Widgy Guillaume, Lance Hopkins Sr., Ace Lassey, Chad Luzader, Cheryl Wakeman and Dawn White of the Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI); Danny Huster, Mark Logan and Joshua Shockley of the Dorchester County Department of Corrections; and Cody Fairbank and M.B. Terrell of the Talbot County Department of Corrections.
