James M. Bennett High School is seeking to place five to six interns in a business environment. This is a new class across the county, but they are hopping to see it prosper with the help of local businesses.
The interns will require 4 hours in the business environment a week, and will attend a class at Bennett on Fridays. All interns are senior Accounting students. The hours can be determined so that they coincide with student and business owner’s schedule. The business leader will fill out a sheet once on month on the intern’s progress, and interns will keep a journal, attend speaker sessions and business meetings, and write a paper on certain topics each term. Starts in Mid-August and runs all year.
