Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore (JAES) has been awarded the Five Star Award from Junior Achievement USA for the eighth year in a row, and JAES president Jayme Hayes has been nominated for the associated 2015 Charles R. Hook Award. The Summit award is given to JA offices that meet JA USA’s operational standards for compliance, student impact, operational efficiency, financial stability, and sustainability; and the Hook award nomination goes to the area President responsible for meeting these requirements. This is the eighth year in a row JAES has been given this top honor, previously known as the Summit Award.
“Earning this award is important for us, not as a trophy, but as confirmation that we adhere to the mission we impart on students,” says Jayme Hayes, president of JAES. ”We place a high value on teaching students fiscal responsibility, and it is important we utilize these same skills in our business operations.”
