Deaf Independent Living Association, Inc. has scheduled a five-week course on American Sign Language for Beginners to be held at DILA, 806 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 pm starting October 3, 2022.
Students will learn basic signs to carry on simple conversations with deaf individuals. Role-playing and games designed to teach basic signs are used as tools. Students will also learn about Deaf Culture. By the end of the course, a sampling of the skills learned are: manual alphabet, numbers, introducing yourself, and exchanging personal information.
