Salisbury, MD – Wicomico County Recreation & Parks kicks off the Little League Challenger season with opening day festivities this Saturday, April 15 at Henry S. Parker’s Field 7 ½.
Little League Challenger is an adaptive baseball program designed to provide individuals with physical and intellectual challenges the opportunity to participate in a Little League environment structured to their abilities.
Festivities include a parade for players and buddies and a ceremonial first pitch, followed by the first games of the season.
The public is welcome to attend and support Challenger athletes by lining the path to Field 7 ½ during the parade and staying to watch the subsequent games.
The public is encouraged to arrive at 8:45 a.m. The parade will begin at 9 a.m., starting at field seven and ending on Field 7 ½.
