Salisbury, MD — Wicomico County Recreation & Parks will kick off the Little League Challenger season with opening day festivities on Saturday, April 18 at Henry S. Parker Athletic Complex, Field 7 ½.
The Challenger division is an adaptive baseball program that provides individuals with physical and intellectual challenges the opportunity to participate in a Little League environment structured to their abilities.
Opening day festivities will include a player and buddy parade, a ceremonial first pitch and the first games of the season.
The public is invited to support Challenger athletes by lining the path to Field 7 ½ during the parade and staying to enjoy the games.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 8:45 a.m., with the parade beginning at 9 a.m.
