SALISBURY, MD – The Lone Star Rodeo returns to the Wicomico Civic Center on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 21 and 22.
County officials are excited for the return of the event after a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the event at the Wicomico Civic Center.
“The rodeo has been a staple in our winter entertainment schedule for 25 years,” said Chelsey Jones, manager of the Wicomico Civic Center. “Families look forward to the event each year, and we are thrilled to have it back on our calendar this year.”
This year’s rodeo contest events include bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, cowgirls breakaway roping, team roping, cowgirls barrel racing and brahma bull riding.
Special attractions include rodeo clown Greek Ellick, Jr. and fancy trick roper and gunslinger Lindsey Wentworth. Each night also features a best dressed cowboy and cowgirl contests and gold rush for kids.
Tickets are $25 for VIP reserved lower level seating, $20 for general admission adult and $15 for general admission children (ages 12 & under). Fees apply. Tickets can be purchased online at www.WicomicoCivicCenter.org, by phone at 410-548-4911 on in person at the box office.
